Link Spamming - LBS

Link spamming is an extremely frowned upon, black hat form of link building. Often also known as “spamdexing,” the lowly technique involves creating a very large volume of links with irrelevant content in irrelevant locations on unassuming sites such as blogs and forums. Link spamming is often computerized- a program is created which spams hundreds of thousands of blogs, forums and other sites with a link. This method may work in the short term by creating a momentary spike in SERP rankings; however it is only a matter of time before the search engines identify the linking as inorganic spam and penalize or remove the offending site.
